Overview
Whaley Park is a 13.5 acre park with a colorful and unique playground that is centered around equipment that requires climbing. The park is located in the city of Long Beach, adjacent to the University of Cal State Long Beach. There is tons of green lawn space for running around and a beautiful baseball field along with other sports fields. One of the cooler features of the playground is the merry-go-round rope spinner. Kids will sit on a rope swing as they spin in a circle. Ladders and spider web nets are everywhere. A fenced play area for toddlers is right next to the main playground. Kids will have a blast here but the majority of the equipment is more directed towards children at least 5 and up.
