Overview
Located in the wonderful city of Temecula and backed by a nice residential neighborhood, the spectacular Vail Ranch Park was revamped in 2020. With its wild west theme and abundance of play equipment, kids will want to stay here for hours. The playground boasts a roller coaster type zipline, that is truly impressive. After sitting in the zipline (Temecula Railroad) like a swing, you jump off the play structure and it wraps its way around in a circle to another structure. A stagecoach and horse structures make for great imaginative play as well. Bridges and walkways lead kids to different parts of “old town Temecula”, such as the bank, post office and hotel “Temecula”. Swings aren’t hard to come by here, as there is a combined ten of them, as well as a huge lawn where kids can run and play.

My Story
As my wife and I set out on a weekend trip towards Borrego Springs, with our 14 month old daughter, Scout, our plan was to stop about halfway in Temecula and check out a few parks. Temecula is filled with amazing parks. Our last stop of the day would be Vail Ranch Park.
Our daughter, Scout, was still a bit young to enjoy some of the bigger structures on the playground but she loved sitting in the stagecoach and climbing on the horse structures. The rest of our time was spent in the baby swings and running in the grass area. My wife and I both tried out the zipline and were amazed by it. The speed of it caught me a little off guard but it was by far the best playground zipline I have seen. This is a park we will undoubtedly be revisiting and a park in which families and kids will love.
