Overview
There are so many Heritage Parks out there, that it is sometimes hard to differentiate between them, so I just refer to this park as Heritage Park Tustin. The park is situated among 5 acres with tons of trees and shade. Generally, the park is very quiet and has a peaceful atmosphere to it. One of the nicer aspects of the park are the multiple basketball courts, huge lawn areas and amazing roller hockey rink that is available for everyone to enjoy. The highlight of the playground is the awesome red and yellow colored pirate ship along with other pirate themed equipment making for great imaginative play for kids.

My Story
My families plan for this day was to spend some time at the Santa Ana Zoo. After checking google maps and seeing that Heritage Park (in Tustin) was less than ten minutes away, I figured we could stop there first to let our daughter, Scout, play for a little bit. Heritage Park has tons of beautiful trees providing much more of a nature feel than I was expecting.
The pirate ship was a big hit and although Scout is barely one and still learning to figure out her new walking legs, she loved having us help her come down the multiple slides. There are numerous pirate themed things to do around the playground and we watched as Scout wandered and explored different areas.
Surprisingly, Scout’s favorite thing ended up being running around the super cool roller hockey rink that is situated behind the playground.
Visiting Heritage park was a super satisfying way for us to start our morning. This is by far one of my favorite parks in this area and never seems to be too crowded on the weekdays.
