Overview
Stanton Central park is a beautiful 12 acre park, located in the city of Stanton, less than ten minutes from Knotts Berry Farm. The Adventure City theme park that is geared towards younger kids is just down the street as well and Disneyland is less than 15 minutes away. The playground is train themed (Stanton Express 93), with multiple slides coming from the train playground. There is tons of lawn space for kids to run and play and multiple ball fields, tennis courts and 2 half basketball courts.
Upon entering the park, the first thing one will notice is the incredibly nice skate park. Adjacent to the playground is a seasonal splash pad and picnic shelters that are available for reservations. The one down side to Stanton Central Park is that it can get insanely crowded. The splash pad can be pretty chaotic and from Memorial Day to Labor Day, you can expect massive crowds here. Especially on the weekends, when it is a popular spot for birthday parties and gatherings.

My Story
I have visited Stanton Central Park multiple times with our daughter, Scout, and my wife, being that it is fairly close to where we live. Our daughter loved running around the splash pad but being that she was only one at the time, it was a little overwhelming for her with the immense crowds. There are lots of different animals and areas to explore though, as the splash pad is very expansive.
I personally prefer the splash pad just down the street at Harry M. Dotson Park, where the crowds are sparse in comparison to Stanton Central Park. When Scout was done in the water, she would just run over to the swings and playground and go back and forth from each area. We had a great time and our general rule is to come earlier on weekday mornings, when it is a bit quieter.
