The park is situated among five acres of grassy lawn area and includes a nice jogging path that circles the park. Trees provide shade in areas and there is lots of room to run and play. Picnic tables and barbecues are on site as well. In addition to the amazing new playground the park boasts magnificent views of the surrounding mountains. The playground does back up to the street, so it’s a good idea for parents to keep an eye on the little ones.

Scout’s Story

As my daughter Scouts fight with cancer has continued, it has been increasingly hard at times for us to get outside and allow her to enjoy the typical things that normal kids get to. After her most recent chemo treatments and a few stays in the hospital, Scouts blood counts finally began to climb to the point that we felt comfortable taking her to playgrounds again. This was a great day for our family, as we visited Amy’s Farm in Ontario, followed by a few playgrounds in the Corona area afterwards. Scout had a great time at the new playground in Lincoln Park. As soon as we exited the car she set off across the lawn with her eyes set on the playground. She took off excitedly and proceeded about as fast as her little toddler legs could move until she reached the playground.

The highlight of the park is undoubtedly the fort. Being that Scout is only 20 months old climbing on the fort was a little above her skill set still. She spent a ton of time playing in the clubhouses and climbing on the picnic table and wooden stools before spending time doing her favorite thing. Swinging.

The new playground is beautiful and I am grateful that we were fortunate enough to have had the chance to visit. The city of Corona is filled with great parks. Subsequently, we look forward to coming back and spending some more time in this area. On this same day we learned that Scout was now a candidate for surgery on her germ cell tumors and that we would be moving forward with surgery in the coming weeks. Making these memories means so much to us and we look forward to the many more that the future holds.
