Overview
Fern Dell playground is a nice, tree house themed playground, situated in a wooded nature setting along the Fern Dell Nature Trail in Griffith Park. A great idea is to wander the short (1/2 mile round trip) Fern Dell Nature Trail and stop at the cute little playground along the way. This entire area has an incredible outdoorsy feel to it despite being in the middle of a big city.
For those wanting to make a day of it, Griffith Park has so much more to offer as well. From the Griffith Observatory and all the local trails to three different miniature trains that can be ridden along with the Travel Town Museum and the L.A. Zoo, Griffith Park is a great place to spend a few day outings and has plenty of activities to keep families entertained and eager to come back for more.
