Overview
Located near Calabasas, in Woodland Hills, Costanso Fire Station 84 is an extremely cute, but small park. The park gets its name from Fire Station 84, which use to occupy this property. The main attraction is the Fire Truck with sensory toys and multiple slides and areas for kids to run around on it.

While there is some lawn area, it is quite small and limited. The Park is aimed and probably best suited for toddlers and younger kids. Parents will love the fact that the entire playground is gated and enclosed. In addition, parents will also appreciate the sunshade canopy that encompasses the entire playground. This is a great, adorable park to spend an hour or so at.

Scout’s Story
On our drive home from family time in Ventura, my wife, daughter Scout, and I decided to make a few stops to get the most out of our day. After visiting the amazing Brandon’s Village at Gates Canyon Park, we made the short drive to Costanso Fire Station 84 in Woodland Hills. It was an absolutely beautiful day and everything seemed to be working out perfectly.

Our daughter scout is now 23 months old and a mere one month from her second birthday. Scout is currently not undergoing any chemotherapy treatments from her battle with stage 4 cancer and we felt comfortable taking her to a few parks. After eight months of treatment, Scout was finally approved for tumor resection surgery and we are now just waiting for the procedure to take place.

Scout had an absolute blast running around on the fire truck and sliding down the slide, time and time again. After a full morning of playing, Scout was finally winding down and ready for a nap. We left the playground and she immediately fell asleep and stayed that way for the remainder of the car ride home. It was an amazing day, once again watching as our daughter displayed steps in her motor skills and development and was just able to regain a little sense of normalcy away from the hospital.
