Overview

Nestled into a nice residential area in the city of Tustin, this spacious 10 acre park gets its name from the beautiful cedar grove that calls this park home. Although not nearly as beautiful or expansive as the grove once was, it is still very pretty and worth seeing. A short, paved nature trail winds its way through the park while passing by the cedar grove. In addition, the park has multiple basketball courts, tons of lawn space for running and playing and 2 separate, very nice play areas, as well as picnic areas and barbecues. If you are in the mood for a short stroll around a pretty cedar grove and are in the Tustin area, come check this park out.

Scout’s Story

After planning to take an afternoon stroll around the cedar grove with our 1 year old daughter, we were not at all surprised when as we arrived at the park, she fell asleep in her car seat. We quietly transitioned her into her stroller and covered her and decided to go ahead with the short walk. The grove was very pretty, but just as I had heard, it is now a lot smaller and less impressive than it used to be. After circling the trail a few times, my wife and I decided to post up under the gazebo until our daughter was ready to wake up from her nap. Once she woke up, we finally made our way over to the playground to let her get some exercise.

While our trip to Cedar Grove Park was mainly spent watching my daughter sleep, we still enjoyed our short, peaceful outing.
