Overview

Schroeder park is super cute, although fairly small. This great neighborhood playground is located adjacent to Schroeder Elementary School in Huntington Beach. The playground is very well done and has a beach/ocean theme, with a catchy, light blue color scheme that allows the playground to really stick out. Although the lawn area is not large, it is sufficient enough to allow for kids and families to run around and play games. In addition to the ocean themed items on the playground, it also boasts an incredible, large spider-web climber. Kids and families will love this quiet and relaxing park, as it is a great place to spend a few hours.

Scout’s Story

Recently, our two year old daughter, Scout, has found a new love for snakes. We figured we would take Scout to check out the plethora of snakes at The Reptile Zoo. Before making our way to see the snakes, we decided to make a few stops. After spending the morning letting Scout swim at Seabridge Park, we made our way to Schroeder Park. This was more or less just a quick pit stop, being that it was on the way to The Reptile Zoo. To our surprise, we ended up liking this park a lot more than we had imagined and ended up staying for quite a while. Scout found a few friends to play with and the park seemed pretty well suited for her age. I was surprised at how relaxing and fun this park was and I am sure this park will become a frequent stop when we are visiting the Huntington Beach area in the future
